Getting Tickets to the All Star Game

If you think it is difficult to obtain tickets to the NHL All Star Weekend, you are so right. It's unlikely that any individual tickets will be available for purchase by the general public, but I've already secured my tickets and there is still an opportunity for you to do so as well:

The only way to secure tickets to All Star Game events is to purchase a Carolina Hurricanes Season Ticket Package. Pro-rated full season packages, 26-game packages and 12-game packages are still available for purchase. Full-season and 26-game season ticket holders will be able to purchase the equivalent of their tickets to the NHL All Star Game and the Skills Competition. 12-game season ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets to only one of these events.

I know that this seems like a raw deal for out-of-towners who want to go to the All Star Game, but here are some suggestions:

*12-game packages can cost as little as $288. Purchase one of these and sell the tickets on Raleigh's Craigslist. At the least, you will break even, but you may even make money on it.

*Join the All Star Waitlist here. You will be notified when/if tickets become available.

*Become BEST FRIENDS with someone in the Raleigh area and split the cost of a full or 26 game ticket plan. Then, you can duke it out to see who goes to the skills competition and who goes to the All Star Game.

Good luck and I hope to see all of my readers there!
