NHL All Star festivities won't just be confined to the RBC Center - the NHL Fan Fair will also be taking place Jan 28-30th at the Raleigh Convention Center. The fair is a hockey freaks dream, with over 30 interactive exhibits. Some exhibits include:
* Meeting NHL Alumni
* NHL Trophy Display
* Geting your picture taken with the Stanley Cup (I WANT TO DO THIS!)
* Testing your Hockey Skills in the Honda NHL SuperSkills Zone (Ha, I wish I could do this. Alas, my athletic skills are sorely lacking!
* Playing the latest NHL 2K Sports Hockey Video Game
* Creating Your Own Hockey Trading Card presented by Upper Deck
* Trading current and vintage Hockey Pins in our official Pin Trading Area
* Testing your Accuracy in the Bridgestone Shoot Out Challenge
This is a public event and anyone can buy tickets. Advance tickets are $8 or you can buy them at the door for $10. Tickets are available at the RBC Center, Progress Energy Performing Arts Center or through Ticketmaster.
The Raleigh Convention Center is located in the heart of Downwtown Raleigh and is within walking distance of many of our best restaurants. If your stomach is grumbling, I recommend taking a stroll down Fayetteville Street to The Big Easy for some Cajun food. The Red beans, Rice and Sausage is amazing! Need something faster so you can get back to the hockey fun? You can't go wrong with Jimmy John's, which is also on Fayetteville Street.
